Jack Zoulek retires after 64 years of service to Citizens Savings Bank
John G. “Jack” Zoulek started his banking career on January 2, 1962 when he was hired as a Teller/Bookkeeper at Citizens Savings Bank’s Spillville office by Roy Novak. Jack was promoted to Cashier after the departure of Charlie Andera. After the sudden death of Adolph Novak in April 1972, Jack was transferred to the Fort Atkinson office, where he was the Branch Manager and Loan Officer. Jack joined the Bank’s Board of Directors on November 4, 1980. He retired from his banking position in 1995, but continued as a Board Director. In 2012, Jack was recognized as an Iowa Bankers Association 50-Year Banker. Jack retired from the Board of Directors on November 4, 2025 after exactly 45 of service to the Board. Jack was presented with a service award for this 45 years of dedication to the Citizens Savings Bank Board of Directors on December 22, 2025 during the Bank’s Christmas Party with current bank employees, directors, and spouses in attendance. Jack’s nearly 64 years of knowledge and expertise will be greatly missed. Jack lives with his wife Joyce outside of Calmar and they enjoy getting together with family and friends, playing cards, and going to the “boat”.
